+ ApKmedia MicroShows

We are super proud to announce that last night we pulled off the first of our new Original Series we are calling ‘MicroShows’. Our friends in Good Old War came to the ApKmedia loft and played an intimate set for Contest winners and invited guests. We were lucky enough to bring friends together to production design a custom set for the evening and work with friends in the community to further the cause of many. Our featured charity of the Evening was Arts to Grow. Arts to Grow is a Non-Profit group that brings creative opportunities to children in NY and NJ in an effort to tap into their intrinsic inspiration in all areas of creative momentum. Our friend and artist Katie Klencheski designed a custom poster for the evening (there are 10 of a hand numbered 40 left that we will be making available on our new ApKmedia Store, coming soon!)- All proceeds from the poster go to Arts to Grow. Tenth Acre Farms  provided much of the dirt for our set as well as bags of fresh produce for all of our visitors- take a minute to check out their new site and go pick up fresh veggies in Brooklyn this fall. 

As far as the music, we will be working with Good Old War and our Audio team to release an Exclusive Ep via iTunes in the coming month. We will also be posting video content from the set that will be available here and at GoodOldWar.com. Look our for Good Old War on Tour with Dr. Dog this Fall, they are quickly on their way to becoming a new favorite band of ours. 

None of this would have been possible without the help of the folks seen in the last photo of this set. We created this Original series to bring friends together and create inspired content- Last night was the first of many and we couldn’t be more excited for what the future of ApKmedia MicroShows holds. Thank you to all of our friends who are part of the ever expanding ApKmedia who lugged dirt, laid down real grass, made Clouds in our loft and filmed the evenings’ festivities.
