NY TIMES article on NY meet-ups »
This article speaks volumes about the new surge in community being created by all of our creative and ambitious New York peers. On March 31st, ApKmedia is going to host Quantified Self in Brooklyn, and we couldn’t be more excited. ApKmedia is not only presently turning out projects for Interscope records, MTV and GUESS footwear, but we are opening our doors in an effort to create a positive hub of creativity here in Brooklyn. We recently gutted and redesigned a Loft in Greenpoint Brooklyn, almost entirely out of salvaged wood and custom designed props and decor. Our thought was to create a HQ with the ability to modify itself to the needs of those interested in utilizing it on a daily basis. We will be hosting Art Galleries, Photo and Video shoots, Creative Community Dinners (CCD_taking place monthly), Listening parties, Micro-Shows (intimate artist performances of 40 ppl and under w no amps) and Meet-ups of the Quantified Self nature and so much more.
This page will suddenly begin expanding at a very rapid pace and our official Internet launch will be April 1. In the meantime, our doors are already open and we would be happy for you to come take a look or reach out to us (dnapkmedia@gmail.com) about something creative you are working on.
We are thrilled to be hosting this installation of Quantified Self and we’d like you to know that you are invited to attend.
