NEWS AND MORE… + AntennaMag_ The sweet little feature on ApKmedia is now on newsstands in the new issue of Antenna Magazine. Check out some images of the loft, a photo of the two ‘scenesters’ (not my word) behind ApK  and a great article, written by Jessica Pullay. Thanks to Antenna for deeming us cool enough and progressive enough to be worthy of the ink, we appreciate it! ApKmedia Production_ + BestBuy_ Next time you walk into a BestBuy, Look out for the content that ApKmedia shot with N*E*R*D*. We were lucky enough to get news that BestBuy will be showing our footage Nationwide to promote the new record from Pharrell and friends.  +++ApKmedia MicroShow series… is coming this Fall! Within the next week, we will announce the details around the first official, ‘ApKmedia MicroShow’. So far… we can promise that the band will be great, the evening will be charitable, there will be Visual Artists involved as well as other partnerships we are finalizing in the coming days. Our idea for a MicroShow was to create a unique event for Musicians, Artists and fans alike, to come share an evening at our Loft HQ and in the meantime, create some special video content for release. There is a bunch of excitement surrounding this series and the format in which we will make it available to you, if you aren’t lucky enough to attend. We are looking forward to bringing this new series to you for the first time in September! ApKmedia Locations_ + Secret….Last week, our Locations Agency pulled off another interesting project for the big boys at DNA. Jazmine Sullivan shot her video here in New York, and there was a gaggle of noteworthy guests who came through to make an appearance in the video. The new Eminem video, ‘Not Afraid’ premiered on Friday and we are proud to announce that ApKmediaLocations, Location managed this project from start to finish. Never before have we tackled a project this large, and we are very proud of the final outcome. Director Rich Lee, is a wonderful director to collaborate with and a tremendous talent. The City of Newark risked chaos to give us the shots we needed during rush hour on a weekday, but alas we all worked together to meet the challenge. Good Luck to Eminem and his very kind (and massive) security team the rest of the way this summer. The new record, ‘Recovery’, is out at the end of June, and Jay-Z and Eminem will be performing at Yankee Stadium on September 13. More news as always, coming soon.

NEWS BRIEF

ApKmedia recently had the pleasure of working with two rising stars.

+ Jessica Brickman, daughter of Marshall Brickman (Academy Award winning Screenplay writer of Annie Hall and Manhattan w/ Woody Allen) used ApKmediaHQ to film her new short Film, ‘5 Stages of Grief’. Over Memorial Day weekend, a talented small crew of ambitious filmmakers shot on film and designed our space to the specific mood of the piece. We look forward to seeing the project when it nears completion and starts hitting festivals. 

+ We also want you to be on the lookout for the new CREEP video, shot by visionary Warren Fischer, the brain behind Bunker LLC and FischerSpooner. We have never been so closely involved with a project that is so visually inspired. We truly look forward to posting this video when the edit is complete. as always…more to come soon.
